Blue Tongue Dreaming is a series of documentary nature photos of the more than human creature that shares the garden

A recent move from inner city Melbourne to regional Australia put me in close contact with the more than human beings that inhabit our spaces, places and lives.

The garden is full to overflowing with river rocks that have no doubt been pilfered from their natural geographic location and transplanted, sometimes three or four stones deep, into the soil. I’ve been slowly digging them out and piling them together in a single garden bed.

The Blue Tongue has discovered this pile of rocks and seems to be slowly but surely testing each and every one to see if it makes a good pillow.

There is a lot to be learned from this gentle creature; stillness, sleep, sun worship, and the importance of pillow testing for a good day’s (or night’s) rest.
